Welcome to MaJiK MeDiA. I believe I offer a fresh concept in website design, website creation and website hosting. My claim is based on years of experience in which I have observed certain standards not conducive with many client's requirements. The end result for this honest approach is a solid reputation born from client satisfaction.

A Website Developer's Worst Nightmare

As with anything in life the worst thing facing any genuine business is the industry telling a consumer how easily a consumer can produce their own creation. Take the P.C. for instance. For years we have been told by the industry how easy it is to use their brands. Yet nearly 60% of user's fail to use their PC. to their maximum effect. The fact is, few P.C user's go beyond trawling the internet, checking emails, typing out the odd document or two and performing a little image editing. Ask any general P.C. user and they will tell you they only use a small portion of their applications and additionally many don't know how to perform full operating system maintenance let alone install the operating system.

The same can be said for website design and website creation. Only recently has an apparent UK website hosting service started advertising their service which includes an "easy" to use website creation system.
(Actually the service is in fact Swedish and brands itself as "UK" to convince us they are British.)

In fact there are many web page templates now available to download that merely require customized editing.
Many computer applications such as Word or Open Office can perform web page creation by simply saving your document and selecting 'html' as the format.

The fact is this information is a website designer and website developer's worst nightmare.
The truth is having the facilities to "easily" perform website creation does not necessarily make a good website.
For instance, the quality of the code that goes into creating a Word or Open Office web page creation is enormous. This only makes for slow page load and sluggish operation. Added to that the web page design aspects are limited. The same is true for on-line website creation services.
The reason is that the system's used offers no control over the code going into these type of 'WYSIWYG' (What You See Is What You Get) creations.

A good website developer will at the very least use a WYSIWYG editor that allows simultaneous code control. Even better if the website builder codes the complete page by hand. But don't just take my word for it. Pick any website and use your browsers source code viewer to take a look at the code. Consider the layout or how tidy the code looks. Too symmetrical and one can suspect a web page application creation. A good web page is coded with consideration and checked for spelling and code errors using quality website editing applications.

Personally I have only once used a freely available web page template. The nightmare involved manipulating the templates code and correcting many code errors. This ensured that I will never use a web page template again, unless it is created by myself. On the Service page you will find detailed steps of how I create a web page from start to finish. To conclude, I can only suggest you take my advice and choose your method of website creation very carefully. The price will out weigh the hassle. That said the cost of employing a decent website developer these days can be very comparable to that of purchasing a quality web site creation package for only one project. In some instances a website developer can work out cheaper!
